My Workouts
My boy Jon is in town for a few weeks so having a workout partner is awesome! Even though Tues/Thur are “recovery” days, we got a very good workout in. Here is what we did:
Jump Training: Knee Jumps 3×6 (holding 3lb weights) supersetted with 60 sec stability ball plank (for 2 sets)
Ankle Jumps 3×12 supersetted with Valslide Push Aways (2×8 each side)
Vertical Depth Jumps 3×6 supersetted with Stability Ball Knee Drives (2×8 each side)
Hurdle Bounds (36in hurdle) 3×12 supersetted with Stability Ball Jackknifes (2×8)
Lateral Depth Jumps (24in hurdle) 3×6
Strength Training: Flat Bench Press 1×8 with 60lbs (5 seconds up, 5 seconds down, 2 seconds pause to failure) with Plate “Squeezes” 1×8 with 5lb plates (5 seconds away, 2 seconds pause, 5 seconds back)
Tabata Conditioning Training: “Pad Touches,” Punches, Pushups, Knees (20 seconds work/10 seconds break) for four rounds
And we had bbq after the workout and it was awesome! Look for a new post tonight.
